Reapply as the bait is consumed or at least every two weeks. Apply at a higher rate if the infestation is severe, or after long periods of heavy rain.
Slugs and snails will eat almost anything that grows in the garden, but they prefer young, tender leaves or soft, juicy fruits and vegetables. Their rasping tongues easily shred the leaves of new seedlings, delicate flower petals, and ripening strawberries or citrus fruit.
Slugs and snails are most active in gardens during the night and early morning. They spend their days hiding in cool, moist, dark spots – ground cover, perennial beds and rockeries or under dense shrubs and hedges. During certain weather conditions, slugs and snails may move underground.
Slugs and snails look for mates mostly in the fall when temperatures are warm and the rains return. They can mate as both male and female and, after mating, both partners may lay eggs. Clumps of these 1/8-inch round eggs can be found under rocks, stepping-stones or layers of leaves.

"I have had a huge slug problem in my garden for three years and because of my dogs, have tried every 'natural' remedy out there and none have worked. Since I started using Sluggo, things have gotten a lot better. I've seen one or two, but nothing like last year and my plants have been better for it. Also, the dogs don't seem to have any interest in it whatsoever. My vincas didn't seem to like it, but I would say all of my other plants are 99.9% slug and snail free. This has definitely been a huge improvement."
~ Rebecca in Sugar Hill, GA
"We had a slug infestation a few years ago in our home garden. This is the only product I found that was safe and seemed to work. Aside from picking slugs off of plants one by one in the dark, nothing else was helping. I haven't seen any in a year or so but keep a container on hand just in case."
~ Paul
"This worked wonderfully! I had snails all over the outside walls of my house. I sprinkled a little bit of this around the foundation of my house and no more snails!"
